Day 2 in my course at NIE

Dear 5/6..

If you hadn't notice, i have disappeared from the school since yesterday! Sad if you hadnt notice.. ha.. oh well..

Today is my 2nd day at my course. I took my matriculation card.. which is similar to your EZ Link bus card which you all have from NIE on the first day of my school! It is not a very good picture taken but anyways..

It feels good to be a student once again.. attending lessons by some of the very good teachers (we call them, lecturers or professors here) The last time i took such a long lessons was when i was still a university student at this same university! It was about 7 years ago and it is certainly nice to come back to school just that it is really very far to travel all the way to NTU here in Boon Lay everyday!

I hope everyone is well and adjusted to Mdm Nurul's style of teaching. She is kind and cares a lot about you all too... and not forgetting all the other teachers who are still teaching you! Ms Yvonne! She works so hard all for you! So please do not disappoint her!

Encourage your friends (friends who do not come in here and read this) Tell them I SAID SO! TELL THEM i want 5/6 pupils to encourage each other to do well and to be nice good young gentlemen and ladies!

Anyway... I had a little bit of free time.. so i also did some baking with my nephew and my niece over the weekend and the cookies turned out delicious! ha..

Meanwhile i will see you guys on Saturday for your NE Show! We are going to have such a wonderful time! We will ROCK! hahahahahaha

Hellos 5/6

Hi..

Thought i will share with you how i spent my June holidays and update my life regularly here so that you all know how i am doing.. Well.. maybe no one wants to know how i am doing.. but i just post.. just in case some of you think or feel that i gave up the class... i really miss you all actually..

Well.. in June i took a trip to Paris, France and London, United Kingdom for a break. It was my second trip to an European country and it was really nice.. We all always hear people and shows talking about Paris.. and well.. i was finally there.. in Paris.. i visited a lot of places of interest... and learnt alot from the French people and their culture. It was a surreal experience.. but rather nice... it was supposed to be summer but it was the start of summer when i was there and so it was still pretty cold... i had to wear double layers of clothing and hid in my scarf sometimes...

Paris is a place where there are not a lot of big shopping malls like in Singapore.. they have a lot of small shops instead.. so it was difficult to find toilets... we even came across this toilet in a shop with the name "Luxury Toilets Inside" and when we went near it... it was stated at the door that we had to pay Euro$2 for it! That is about Singapore dollars $4 to go into a toilet???!?!?!?!?!?!

Then we took a train from Paris to London (about 2 hour ride) to meet my friends in London.. I have a friend from my secondary school days who is a doctor in a hospital living in London.. so i went to visit her and stayed at her house! i also met up with Miss Ning over there! I wonder how many of you were taught by her before she left our school to go overseas?

I will still be around in school for one more week next week before i go to NTU for my studies... but dont worry.. i am still very much alive and will update when i can!!! IF you want to read!

Healthy Lifestyle Day!

You stretch! I stretch!!!!!
It was a pretty fun day today with the activities that the Health Education Department and the PE Department organised for us! Then we found out that we have some pretty good "rubber bands" in our class! You could stretch in any direction and in any style!! Just like a rubber band!

Dear Class!

Some of you will be going away for holidays (China with the school) or other places.. So do have a safe journey!

Please please remember that you have things to be completed during the holidays.. your projects, your Young Water Ambassador Cards, your mathematician cards... Please do not waste your precious holidays away doing nothing. While we take time to rest... recharge before the new term starts in July... we must also learn to reflect on the days that have past and then ask yourself how you can make the things around you better..!

I am sad that i have to leave you all to go for my 4 month long course.. but like i always say... we should never stop learning.. In this 4 months i will learn new things.. and discover things! So must you! But dont worry, i will come to this blog and update you with my life and so must you all..

If you are going overseas or done something interesting in the holidays and would like to share with your classmates.. Do post pictures... notes...!!

Okay.. i will update this space soon enough again!!!
